Fibromyalgia

What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia literally means fibrosis in the muscles. It always presents with muscular pain that affects both arms and legs. The muscles are usually extremely painful with quite localised “trigger” or “ouch” points, which when pressed even very gently may cause excruciating discomfort. Fibromyalgia is the second most common rheumatological condition after osteoarthritis. It literally means fibrosis in the muscles.
